Our Supplier’s Story
This is Mohan the owner of the hemp company we work with. He is 24 years old and was born in Bajura district in Nepal. He spent two years studying the hemp fiber and decided to start his company four years ago in Kathmandu, Nepal. Mohan is proud to have adopted the same traditional methods of production that are typical in his region. Hemp has been cultivated in his village for many, many years.

This is his grandfather wearing traditional Nepali hemp clothes. Currently, his company is focused on hand looming and in the production of yarn and hemp textile.
Mohan employs 20 women for weaving, and 10 women and men work in cutting and sewing to make bags and clothes.

Our Packaging
Pushaoo is centered around using sustainable materials. Our packaging is minimal and recyclable. We use zero plastic, recycled boxes and paper (for our thank you cards), and even our tag will be in stamp-form - using soy ink! Soy inks are a renewable resource and leave no petroleum behind, so you can use it on compostable materials.
We believe that sustainable fashion must be true to its values from start to finish. Our aim is to be accountable and transparent in the ways in which we operate, and always strive to implement innovative ideas to ensure our business aligns with our philosophy.
